It's a been a while! (rhythm)

Sup boys and girls.

It's been ages since ive written anything! Ive kinda had a mixture of a down period (God wise) , laziness and no real thought on what to write. But two weeks (lol theres ma laziness) ago at church we watched an episode of Nooma by Rob Bell. it was number 11 called Rhythm and it really spoke to me! like usually im not really challenged by what people say or not thought provoked, but this one i understood and took in =D

Ok so how rob bell sees it is as our relationship with God is like a song. (This is for all those muso's and not. Everyone can understand music to a certain degree!) It's a song which moves you, it has a melodie, a groove to cut some shapes to and be happy to! It has a certain rhythm that people have listened to ALL over the world (taking out culture, time line and physical place) for thousands of years! It has captivated many who have listened and have wanted to hear more! Its like finding a new song which you can shake your ass to at home or in the club or even just hand dancing in the car, sing real loudly to wherever you are and the one you just have on repeat for ages! Its like the best song you've ever heard and never want to stop listening =D
Of course you get people who deny there is any song (people who dislike it basically lol like the annoying ones like toxic and irreplaceable!) But the song keeps playing because of the many who do like it. Jesus came to us to show us how to live in tune with the song. Like the hes the way, the truth and the light. He came to show us reality at its most raw, he came to show us how things are!
The song is playing all around us all the time! Its everywhere, its written on our hearts and everbody is playing the song. Now what rob asks us is are we in tune with the song? So when we are selfish, stingy and being dicks we are out of tune! When we are doing good for others like R.A.King (random acts of kindness) its like we are playing in the right key and its inspiring and powerful and we are of course in tune!
Some people know alot more about music than other like pitch, different keys and different instrument sounds etc. They hear sounds and parts that others dont. I find if i listen to a song over and over i slowly pick up the diff parts which make up the song (like the dj scratching, the 808, the drums, the keys and someone shaking some bells hehe). They pick up things people might miss and they appreciate things people might miss. But one can get so caught up with the technicalities that they miss the pure and simple enjoyment of the song. People can front alot about being christian and seem very out of tune. And some can say they dont know much at all, but still seem very in tune!

So have a think on that stuff! I found it so awesome and kind of challenging in the way of seeing the relationship with Jesus and God in a new way! I understand it as a muso/dj hehe. I hoped it talked/sang to you. Let the song take you in, embrace it and cut some shapes hahaha! So hopefully you come to see that the song is written on your heart and as you live in tune with the song and in tune with the creator. May you see that you are in relationship with God!
